Bad News Barrett has been off our screens for far too long right about now with his latest injury, but everyone's favourite English heel - no, not you William Regal - still likes to treat us even when he's not in the ring.
How has he done it this time? He's only come out and told us he actually really doesn't like John Cena. And to top it all off, Barrett smiles when Cena gets booed. Ahh doesn't it warm your heart ladies and gentleman.
"He has been the face for ten years, and he's really good at what he does," Barrett said in an interview with DNA India whilst on a PR tour in the country.
I Don't Like Him
"But everyone knows that I don't like John Cena, and he doesn't like me either. You're right, he does get booed by a lot of fans, lot of people don't like him. But he sells a lot more t-shirts and other merchandise than anyone else."
"So there are a lot of people out there who like him too. Either way everyone has an opinion about him, I respect that. Personally I don't like him and he doesn't like me, we are not friends."
Barrett went on to talk about how his favourite wrestler in the WWE right now is a completely unexpected one in Ryback and his tipping of Roman Reigns to reach the absolute top of the company.
No Attitude Era
However, i'm afraid i've got some bad news for fans of the Attitude Era and those who want to see the WWE move back to it. It seems that old Wade doesn't share your lustre for it's return nor does he believe that it was a particularly good time for the company.
"It's a good thing because during the Attitude Era we lost a lot of fans because parents wouldn't let their kids watch those things," the 34-year old said. "It wasn't good for eight or nine year olds. The product now is much better in that way because everyone from the kids to the adults to their grandfathers and grandmothers can watch the show. It's a lot more wholesome."
"I don't think we will ever be going back to the Attitude Era."
So WWE fans. Would you be interested in seeing a Barrett vs Cena feud play out? Tell us in the comment box below...
