It's no secret that Roman Reigns is on his way to the summit of the wrestling world. Last month it was revealed that he is likely to feature at Wrestlemania 31 - against WWE Champion Brock Lesner.
However this may be a step too far, too early. At least according to wrestling legend Dr. Tom Prichard who worked at the WWE's head trainer from 2007 to 2012. Prichard was instrumental in Reigns development through those years.
A lot to learn
In an interview with DailyDDT Prichard was asked, "Do you think Roman Reigns is ready to jump into the main event of WrestleMania and take on Brock Lesnar? If no, how would you propose that they handle the main event (or who should stop Lesnar)?
"Reigns has a way to go in the ring and on the mic. They shouldn’t throw him into something that he’s not ready for. I don’t see anyone with the exception of The Rock who could stand toe to toe with Brock after Cena."
Prichard did however hold high praise for WWE Legends The Rock and Kurt Angle:
"They were both naturals. They had the drive and passion it took to be great."
Prichard also cited Brock Lesnar John Cena, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins as his favourite wrestlers currently in the WWE. Controversial considering the latter two were former 'team mates' of Roman Reigns when they made up The Shield.
Night of Champions
Reigns will go head to head with Rollins at Night of champions this sunday.
After weeks of back and forth from the former "brothers" and after Rollins and Kane took Dean Ambrose out, Reigns stepped up and looks like he could be the one to finally stop Mr Money in the Bank
