Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looks all set to ring the changes for tomorrow night's Capital One Cup tie against Southampton, with David Ospina among those ready to make a full debut at the Emirates Stadium.
Ospina has struggled with a thigh injury since completing a cut-price £3.2m switch to the Premier League but is finally at something approaching full fitness, although desperately in need of game time.
The Colombian stopper should just get that against Saints and should be kept pretty busy by Ronald Koeman's in-form team, who sit second in the Premier League after winning their last three matches on the bounce.
Poldi ready for first start of the season
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has a North London derby looming large this weekend and therefore expect a second-string side to feature in the League Cup, with Lukas Podolski among those in line for an overdue start.
Podolski has been eased back in gently after featuring in the World Cup and with Yaya Sanogo still struggling with a hamstring could lead the line in a central strike role.
Alternatively Wenger could pick Joel Campbell to make his competitive Emirates bow in his favoured centre-forward position, with Tomas Rosicky likely to play just in-behind.
Young defence will try and contain in-form Saints
It's defensively that Wenger has much tougher calls to make, with options stretched to the limit.
Hector Bellerin was thrown in at the deep end against Borussia Dortmund last week and should return for only his third senior appearance, with Calum Chambers moved to centre-back against his former club.
Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker will almost certainly be rested, which means academy standout Isaac Hayden is on the verge of making up an inexperienced backline.
Abou Diaby is also in contention for a welcome return to first-team action after being named as a substitute for the 3-0 win at Villa, while Nacho Monreal and Francis Coquelin are pushing for inclusion as Wenger shuffles his pack for a competition which is far from a top priority.
