Manchester United's Angelo Henriquez, on loan at Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb, has scored his third goal in as many games in the Croat's 5-1 win against Astra Giurgiu in the Europa League on Thursday.
The 20-year-old had joined United in the summer of 2012 from Universidad de Chile. Although the talented young striker has failed to break into the United first team, he has had productive loan spells at both Wigan Athletic and Real Zaragoza.
Henriquez impressing at Dinamo
The Chilean was sent to Zagreb by United manager Louis van Gaal for more first team football and he has not disappointed so far.
Henriquez came off the bench in the 68th minute to replace Duje Cop. Two minutes into the game the striker scored his team's fourth goal of the night. Receiving the ball from Domagoj Antolic, the former Universidad forward took two steps into the middle of the box before slotting home with a composed left footed shot.
Striker scores his third goal
This strike took Henriquez's tally to three goals in less than 160 minutes of competitive football since joining Dinamo. United manager Louis Van Gaal would be hoping that the Chilean continues his goal scoring form after selling Danny Welbeck to Arsenal and loaning Javier Hernandez to Real Madrid.
With all the star names signed by United, first team opportunities look bleak in the future for the young forward. But Van Gaal is a man known for his trust in youth and the Chilean will get his deserved chance at the club if he continues with his rich vein of form.
Henriquez took to social media after his team's win tweeting,“Bravo Dinamo!! Good start in Europe league with a great victory! Ajmo Dinamo!”
With Scottish champions Celtic and winners of the Austrian Bundesliga FC Red Bull Salzburg also in the group, Dinamo will face a tough task qualifying from the group.
