Hello and welcome to the GiveMeSport – Social Report. Where we have a look at the weekend’s social media best bits.

It was a crazy weekend full of unpredictable results and talking points. It seems only fair to start with Manchester United’s 5-3 loss to Leicester City! You know what’s coming next…role on memes!

The most anticipated match between Man City and Chelsea proved to be a fiery affair with Pablo Zabaleta being sent off. While the player tweeted to apologise he also insisted Diego Costa should have been sent off.

On to a serious note before we end, we all like to have a laugh and joke on social media and athlete’s are no different with Mario Balotelli tweeting this after the Manchester United game, but what’s not acceptable is the abuse he received after. Social media has no place for racism!
