A video has emerged of UFC featherweights, Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier having a tense showdown in a hotel lobby ahead of their fight on Saturday.
The two will face off against one another in a hotly anticipated clash that has been over a year in the making but Poirier's cooler head prevailed despite another McGregor barb.
That didn't mean the thought of going all in on McGregor then and there didn't cross his mind, as you see and hear in the video from the YouTube channel, Mixed Martial Arts.
McGregor is one of the premier trash talkers in the UFC today and isn't afraid to hold from going in on an opponent and Poirier has been his latest targets.
With how much he trash talks and gets under the skin of his opponents, it's no surprise that he's been likened to boxing legends, Muhammad Ali and Floyd Mayweather by some.
While the comparison seems perplexed based on the success that Ali and Mayweather have achieved and what McGregor has achieved so far, the two fighters crafted themselves into must-see and must-hear fighters with the verbal barrage they lay down on opponents.
This fight is likely to end in a finish somewhere down the line, either that or a one-sided decision.
These two fighters want to finish the other and in convincing fashion too, so that they can stake a claim for a shot at the UFC Featherweight title.
With a win, McGregor could have the rocket strapped to his back and put into a fight against either Jose Aldo or Chad Mendes - depending on who triumphs in their clash at UFC 179.
McGregor as world champion could be the charismatic front man in a division that needs more hype than it gets at the moment.
