LeBron James was recently interviewed by Rachel Nichols of CNN where the King touched on a number of topics including a warning message to the rest of the NBA.
Watch out NBA
It has been no secret that James has slimmed down over the summer, despite being in remarkable shape to start with, the 6ft 8 small forward has taken to his 'lab' (his nickname for the gym) to perfect his fitness.
Now James is ready to step onto the NBA court with a different aura surrounding him, he explained to Nichols that he is a lot quicker after his no-carbohydrate diet and he exclaimed that it was seriously bad news for his competition.
LeBron was already compared to a full-steam locomotive whilst driving the basketball but to add unnerving quickness to the game's most gifted athlete is a scary thought.
James was on a 67-day crash diet in which he cut out a lot of the comforts that the rest of us enjoy too much, no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, he admitted to going to bed dreaming of pancakes.
Meeting with Gilbert
He was certainly enjoying talking about his new physique and the damage he can cause to his opposition but it wasn't all fun in games in the interview with Nichols, LeBron had to touch upon his homecoming but in particular his meeting with Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert.
James experienced his own jersey being burnt by fans and the disrespectful letter Gilbert composed after LeBron exited Cleveland and headed to South Beach to team up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami.
In order to return home, James needed a face-to-face meeting with Gilbert, the pair had not spoken in four years by the time the Cavaliers owner would come to meet the player during his free agency period.
Clear the air talks were held between the two and it seemed that the meeting was the foundation to the possible spectacular return of James to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
There is much more to come from the interview conducted by Nichols, with many other topics being covered. The full interview will air on CNN's Unguarded with Rachel Nichols on Friday night.
