While it has been a few weeks to forget for the NFL and several different teams around the league, the Washington Redskins have had a week to forget.
From being the focus of a new episode of South Park, to last night's blow-out loss to the New York Giants at FedEx Field, the Redskins fans can't be the happiest right now.
But a certain Tweet that was posted last night that may show that the Redskins fans have a bit more to annoyed with.
Following the FIFA World Cup in the Summer, the after affects of the tournament have been seen around the world and one of those effects surfaced at the Redskins game last night.
Many people remarked about the levels of drunkenness at the World Cup in Brazil but not many ever thought that you would see some of the products with wrappers from when the tournament was on still being sold.
But last night, a disgruntled Redskins fan tweeted a picture of a beer he bought at FedEx Field, which had exactly that on it.
It appears to be a bottle of Bud Light with the World Cup logo at the top by the rim of the bottle which was 'freshly' served last night.
The tweet has only received 29 re-tweets but is a big indicator of what is happening in Washington these days.
It may have been a one time occurrence, it may have been that more than one was sold, but the bottle, which was dated for July should definitely not have been passed over the counter.
A night to forget
It was certainly a night to forget for the Redskins and their fans after Giants Quarterback Eli Manning threw a fairly convincing performance to secure victory for his side.
The Giants ran out 45-14 winners after scoring on four of their six drives in the first half.
Manning threw for 300 yards hitting four touchdowns and unfortunately for him one interception.
Giants Tight-end Larry Donnell was the star man for Manning after catching three touchdown passes last night.
