Phoenix Suns Point Guard Eric Bledsoe has certainly made the right decision regarding his future after he has seemingly signed an extension to stay in Phoenix.
The deal is reportedly worth around $70 million and will stretch for five years as Bledsoe's future is certain to be remaining with the Suns.
It is great news for the Suns after they seemed almost ceetain to lose Bledsoe at times before he signed his new deal.
During his time as a restricted free agent, Bledsoe was rumoured to be relocating to several different organizations, and some interesting matches were thrown up.
The other parties
Two big names were mentioned when Bledsoe was a free agent and both could have given him good match ups.
Many thought he may be joining the Minnesota Timberwolves who are currently going through a bit of a transitional period after losing star Forward Kevin Love.
Another name in the mix was the team that Love went to and the team everyone is talking about, the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Cavaliers have made a lot of big name signings this off-season including the likes of LeBron James, Kevin Love and Shawn Marion, but Bledsoe would have been an equally impressive swoop.
This link was largely because Bledsoe's agent Rich Paul has a link with LeBron that the Cavaliers may have looked to exploit in order to bring the Point Guard to Ohio.
Thankfully however, Bledsoe is staying put, and that is a move I am very happy to see.
The futures bright, the futures orange
Bledsoe will be staying put and I for one, am very happy about that, I may not be a Suns fan but they earned a lot of my attention and respect last year.
They went from being dead last in the NBA in 2012-13 to winning a total of 48 games last season.
Bledsoe and Goran Dragic led the team last year - when Bledsoe did start a game and they, along with Center Miles Plumlee, gives them a very talented team.
Had Bledsoe left, they would still have had a good team but nowhere near as efficient, last year the Suns went 28-15 with Bledsoe in the team as opposed to going 20-19 without him.
I would love to see the Suns progress even more this season and I think they would find that hard to do without Bledsoe.
There was a time I wanted to see LeBron James in the orange of the Suns, I was hopeful it would happen and that he could have brought his former Miami Heat team-mate Chris Bosh with him.
That didn't happen unfortunately but I am still very excited to see what Phoenix can do in the upcoming season.
