Following his team's 2-0 victory against Hellas Verona on Saturday, Gervinho has praised the strength in depth that the Giallorossi possess as they prepare for a week that will likely define their season.
A 40-yard wonder goal from Mattia Destro secured the three points after Alessandro Florenzi opened the scoring at the Stadio Olimpico, stretching their record to five straight victories on home turf.
However, there will be more travelling in the next week, as Roma start their week with a Champions League encounter against Manchester City before travelling to Turin on Sunday evening for a tantalising top of the table clash against current Serie A champions Juventus.
Rudi García's men will be under no illusion at the difficulty of the task at hand, but Gervinho appeared in positive spirits ahead of a tough week. Speaking to vocegiallorossa.it, the 27-year-old said:
"Roma are a great team with lots of resources. Everyone is important; we have made many changes and they all gave their best.
"Now we head into the next game with [Manchester] City and then decide what to do against Juventus. We are focused on playing two great games."
Champions League test
The clash against Manchester City will mark a swift return to England for Ashley Cole who will play his first game on British soil since his move from Chelsea in the summer, whilst the Giallorossi will be hoping to build upon their 5-1 win against CSKA Moscow a fortnight ago.
Meanwhile, they will also know that a win at the Juventus Stadium will elevate them to the top of Serie A, with both Juventus and Roma boasting a 100% record in the league after five games.
