Chelsea will be hoping to secure their first win of this year's Champions League as they travel to Portugal to take on Sporting Lisbon tomorrow evening.
The Blues, despite making a fine start domestically, only managed to secure a point in their opening European clash as they drew 1-1 with Schalke 04 on September 17.
And now they will be determined to come away from Lisbon with a positive result tomorrow evening. Blues boss Jose Mourinho may, though, have to start star striker Diego Costa on the bench against the Portuguese outfit.
The Spanish international has struggled with his hamstring for some time now, meaning veteran Didier Drogba or Frenchman Loic Remy could start in attack.
It's likely that Cesc Fabregas will partner Nemanja Matic in the middle of the park, with the likes of Andre Schurrle, Willian and Hazard all featuring. Mourinho may hand Filipe Luis a start at the back, with John Terry, Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic playing alongside him. Thibaut Courtois set to keep his place between the sticks, with experienced star Petr Cech once again having to settle for a place on the bench.
Sporting, meanwhile, head into the game after a disappointing run of results which has seen them secure just one win from their five Primeira Liga fixtures. Their latest setback came at home to Porto this past weekend, as they were held to a 1-1 draw despite taking an early lead.
They also endured a difficult start in Europe as they only managed a point against Slovenian outfit Maribor. On that night, on loan Manchester United winger Nani gave the Portuguese outfit the lead, but Maribor levelled in stoppage time.
Chelsea fans will certainly be well aware of the threat that Nani possesses from his time at Old Trafford, but the likes of John Terry and Co. will be hoping to keep him at bay tomorrow evening.
Chelsea potential XI
