Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher wants his former club to sign Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus, reports the Express.
The Reds have been linked with the Borussia Dortmund star for some time now, with it being suggested that the German ace is set to leave the Bundesliga outfit at the end of the season.
Goals and assists
And Carragher certainly thinks the Reds should try and land him if he is available. Speaking on Monday Night Football last night, the Sky Sports pundit undertook a Twitter question and answer session as DBecks07 asked Carragher: "One signing you can make for Liverpool if you have all the money in the world?"
Carragher responded by saying: "Reus - pace, goals and assists!"
The Liverpool legend certainly sees the potential benefits of adding Reus to the Reds squad, but it remains to be seen as to whether Brendan Rodgers steps up his interest n the talented player over the coming weeks and months.
Reus is certainly recognised as one of the leading attacking-midfielders in world football, and he would certainly improve Rodgers' options on Merseyside as the Reds go in search of long term success.
And, it appears that Reus will be available in the summer of 2015, with the same report suggesting that Dortmund may be forced into selling their prize asset as he doesn't want to sign a new deal with the club.
In fact, it's been suggested that the German ace - who missed this past summer's World Cup through injury - could leave for around £20 million next year. However, if Liverpool are going to make a move for the exceptionally talented star, then they may have a huge transfer battle on their hands.
As well as the Reds, the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United have been credited with the player's signature, whilst it's been suggested that Real Madrid are leading the race to land him from Dortmund.
Manchester United and Arsenal may already have an array of talent in their attacking line, but it appears that they could still make a move for the German ace in the future.
