Yesterday we reported that Randy Orton was not happy with the way he is being treated by the WWE.
After being the total professional that he is by sticking to the script and doing what has been asked of him he reportedly has been voicing his displeasure behind the scenes at his role in the recent months.
Let's not kid, he hasn't been the exciting Randy Orton of old, and this isn't necessarily his fault. His 'rivalry' with Chris Jericho at Night of Champions was nothing to write home about and it really showed where he stands in the WWE. Whilst he was fighting at a pay-per-view event, there was no substance to the rivalry and the fight itself wasn't great. However, Orton fans can rest easy, as rumors are circulating that a new role is being planned for the Viper.
The rumor goes that Randy Orton could be set to turn to babyface in the next three/four months which will set him up perfectly for a run at Wrestlemania 31.
Orton v Triple H
Orton is currently playing a heel role in the Authority but is being overshadowed by Seth Rollins, so we can presume that if he were to become a face in the near future a rivalry against the Authority would be the go to storyline. Especially considering one of the best rivalries in WWE history was between Rand Orton and Triple H around 10 years ago.
The fans would certainly love another rivalry like the one they saw in the early 2000's and one would presume that Triple H wouldn't be adverse. It would go some way to seeing him step back into the limelight after Daniel Bryan's departure has given him less time in the ring.
Orton certainly has the ability to draw in big crowds in whatever role he plays. In the past he has played the face as well as the heel and has done so with great success.
With the two newer faces at the top of the wrestling world - Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan - out of action for a sufficient period of time due to injury, Randy Orton could be the ideal candidate to go after the Authority. He certainly has the fan base.
