Seth Rollins set to defend briefcase at Hell in a Cell

We’re less than a month away from the annual Hell in a Cell pay-per-view, yet there are still question marks over what the final card could be.

Unclear card

Usually before a pay-per-view there is a clear indication as to which matches could appear and in which order; however this time with no Brock Lesnar scheduled for the event it looks as if Seth Rollins will be the man headlining the show but it sounds as if plans for his match aren’t finalised yet either.

The theme of the pay-per-view is obviously a Hell in a Cell stipulation which means at least one match which need to be contested inside the cell.

At first there were strong rumours suggesting that Nikki and Brie Bella could finally face off but inside a cell, however those rumours look untrue at this stage.

We can expect the likes of The Miz, Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler to be involved in a match but all eyes are and will be on three men – Dean Ambrose, John Cena and Seth Rollins.

Rollins has a target on his back

The conclusion of the Night of Champions main event saw Mr. Money in the Bank Seth Rollins cost John Cena the chance to defeat Brock Lesnar to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, before hitting the Curb Stomp on The Beast and a failed cash-in.

Now John Cena has been targeting Seth Rollins, but he needs to get in line as Dean Ambrose still wants to cause more damage to his former Shield stable mate and make his life miserable; vowing to disrupt any and every cash-in attempt. Cena and Ambrose’s desire to get Rollins could lead to both men battling it out for a chance at Rollins, one on one.

Since that night, rumours were flying around suggesting either John Cena or Dean Ambrose would be picked beforehand to face Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell.

Options

Another option which was reportedly considered was the possibility of having the three men compete in a triple threat Hell in a Cell match but again.

The latest reports coming from PWInsider.com suggest that one of two things could happen at the event, either John Cena and Dean Ambrose will open the show before the winner goes on to the main event to take on Seth Rollins with the briefcase on the line.
The more likely option would see Dean Ambrose and John Cena clash at one of the final two episodes of Monday Night Raw.

As expected, the winner of this match will go on to face Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell with the Money in the Bank briefcase on the line, whilst the loser of this match would either play the role of ‘keeper of the key’ in the main event, or would take on Randy Orton instead.

If the final scenario does take place then expect John Cena to take on Seth Rollins whilst Dean Ambrose would ensure he remains very entertaining even though he won’t be competing.
