Two Tottenham loanees were in action on Tuesday night as the Championship played out a full set of fixtures in midweek.

Fredericks at Middlesborough

Ryan Fredericks returned to the Middlesbrough starting line-up against Blackpool, having missed out on the weekend's goalless draw at Charlton. Aitor Karanka's Boro side would have fancied their chances at home to the league's bottom side, but Blackpool picked up only their third point of the season as Ishmael Miller scored an equaliser midway through the first half to cancel Daniel Ayala's opener.

It was a missed opportunity for the Teeside team and leaves them just shy of the play-off zone.

Pitchard at Brentford

Alex Pritchard started on the bench for Brentford against Watford and came on after 69 minutes with the scores level at 1-1. However, a minute later Matej Vydra scored to put Watford ahead and the hosts held on to move joint top despite Oscar Garcia's resignation due to ill health. Brentford sit bang in midtable in thirteenth.

Hall at Birmingham

Grant Hall also started on the bench and remained there as Birmingham clinched a vital three points by beating Millwall 3-1.

That was the Blues first win since mid-August and pushes them a win ahead of the relegation places.
