Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik could be on his way out of the club after his agent refused to discuss where his future lies, with three Premier League clubs monitoring the situation, reports the Express.
The Slovakian international has been one of Napoli's influential players in the past few years, but after a sloppy start to the new Serie A campaign, and already eliminated from this season's Champions League, the club could be set to lose some of their stars.
As well as Hamsik, Gonzalo Higuain is also being linked with a move away from Rafael Benitez's side, and the duo could be searching for new clubs as soon as January.
In a recent interview, Hamsik's agent, Juraj Venglos, hinted that his client wasn't entirely happy in Italy and was not impressed with them being dumped out of the Champions League in the Qualifying rounds at the hands of Athletic Bilbao.
After being knocked out of the Champions League, Napoli have been left in a somewhat tricky predicament financially, and their only way out could be to sell their stars, which includes Hamsik and Higuain.
The club price the duo at £65million, and would be interested in selling both if acceptable offers were to be made, alerting Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
As for Hamsik, the 27-year-old could still be on his way out of the door in the New Year, especially after his agent refused to discuss his client's future.
When pressed about Hamsik, Venglos simply stated: "Future? I prefer not to talk about that.”
The brief response has alerted the Premier League trio, who are all closely monitoring the situation ahead of the January transfer window.
The midfielder has made well-over 200 appearances for Napoli since arriving from Brescia back in 2007, in a deal worth just over £4m.
