Tottenham players set for crucial week on international stage

Numerous Tottenham players are set for crucial games for their countries in both the Euro 2016 qualifying and African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

In Europe, Group B sees the Belgian trio of Nacer Chadli, Mousa Dembele and Jan Vertonghen host Andorra on Friday, before travelling to Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday.

The latter opposition will travel to Wales for their first game of the international break and should come up against Ben Davies, who will also expect to start for Wales against Cyprus.

Vlad Chiriches and Romania host Hungary before visiting Finland in Group F, while Christian Eriksen's Denmark play away to Albania and then host Portugal.

England and Youth teams

Closer to home, Andros Townsend is the only Spurs player in the senior England squad as the Three Lions host San Marino before go away to Estonia.

However, the England U21s has plenty of Tottenham representatives in the shape of Harry Kane, Eric Dier, and the out on loan pair of Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard. The U21s have a two-legged play-off for the U21 Euros against Croatia.

Milos Veljkovic and Serbia have a two-legged European Under-21 Championship play-off against Spain.

Dominic Ball has earned a call up to the England U20s as they travel to the Netherlands for a tournament, playing Germany, the Dutch, and Turkey. Midfielder Harry Winks is in the England U19s for their three qualifiers.

Africa and Friendlies

In the African Cup of Nations, Emmanuel Adebayor's Togo face back-to-back games against Uganda, and Nabil Bentaleb's Algeria are facing Mali.

Erik Lamela will be hoping to start for Argentina as they play big local rivals Brazil in a friendly in Beijing on Saturday before travelling to face Hong Kong late in the week. Hugo Lloris will also be in friendly action as France play Portugal and Armenia.

Young defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has been named in the USA
Under-23 squad for their friendly in Brazil on Monday. Kenny McEvoy is in the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for a friendly in Norway on Thursday, while Filip Lesniak is with Slovakia Under-19s for consecutive matches against Israel on Monday and Wednesday.
