The Rock shocked the wrestling world when he made a surprise return to Monday Night Raw at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
The most electrifying man in sports entertainment made his appearance right on cue, just as Russian powerhouse Rusev was in the ring with his sidekick Lana, calling out Big Show who ripped down Rusev's large Russian flag on last week's raw.
With Rusev ranting away, The Rock's theme tune started playing, and gave goosebumps to everyone in attendance and watching on TV. What a moment it was.
Triple H, who now serves as 'Chief Operating Officer' and has had plenty of rivalries with the Rock over the years spoke out about his return, and paid tribute to his former enemy:
"One of the most electrifying moments in the history of Raw. For The Rock to come out there, unknown to everybody, everybody in the back even - to keep a secret in this day and age is a remarkable thing," Triple H told Michael Cole.
"It's awesome that as big as The Rock has become outside the WWE - the biggest star in hollywood, the highest grossing box office star in hollywood, all those things - you can really see it when he is here, there is nothing in the world like stepping into that ring - you can see the goosebumps on his body. For him, that is the greatest thing by far, that he does anywhere."
So, how did they get the Rock to return to raw? Simple, he was just in the area:
"When rock is in the area and has the time, there's nothing that the rock loves better than to come back to the WWE."
SmackDown this friday
Triple H then went on to discuss this coming SmackDown - which will be the shows 15 year anniversary - and while he didn't give much away, we can expect to be seeing The Rock feature again this Friday:
"Yeah, the Rock and I had a brief conversation after monday night raw was over. There were cameras there, its interesting to say the least. You know, the rocks a great guy, [it’s] tough to turn off the competitive juices between the two of us"
A potential showdown between two of the WWE's biggest ever superstars. I think its fair to say, SmackDown this coming friday is a must watch.
