Ever since Sting signed a legends contract with WWE, fans have been waiting to see if he will be facing The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 31.
Whilst The Undertaker is still said to be in a pretty bad way, it seems Sting could still be set for a match at next years showpiece. And it's not only Sting who has a bug to return to WWE for one last match, as a 61-year-old Hulk Hogan has also stepped up in the hope that his name will also be on the card.
Whilst Hogan has been pushing for a match with John Cena for months, Cena's Wrestlemania match looks to have already been locked in, so WWE may be wanting to change that if Hogan manages to pass physical because he wants to retire against 15-time world champion John Cena.
It's not yet known who Cena will be facing at Wrestlemania, but it was announced that he will be facing Brock Lesnar once again for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at The Royal Rumble next year.
Sting v The Undertaker?
As for Sting, no one knows who his opponent will be yet because of The Undertakers current situation, but most people in WWE are pushing for the Legend to climb back into the ring next year because him and Hogan's retirement matches will be a big push for ticket sales, as well as people wanting to watch on the WWE Network.
Sting turns 56 just before next years Wrestlemania and after the way Undetaker was defeated last year, in what could still be seen as his retirement match, it seems like a bit of a long shot that Sting will step in the ring with just anyone, because his contract is for just the one last match.
The two could even go as far as facing each other if a match had to be made in a legend v legend showdown, but Hogan would need to be in the ring with someone who will make him look a lot better than he is with all his medical issues, whilst Sting could need much of the same.
As yet these are just early rumours for what could be the first Wrestlemania since Mania 10 that The Undertaker hasn't been in action. WWE need to top the ending of the streak from this year and it seems they are trying hard to make sure they do.
