It's safe to say that Dan Snyder is not having a very good time of it right about now. The Washington Redskins owner is facing continued calls to change the teams name and has the worst PR in pro sports right now.
And it seems that his public relations are set to take an even bigger hit after his actions from Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals were revealed.
Spitting Mad Snyder
According to reports from former Cardinal player Bertrand Berry who was on a radio show after the Cardinals win, Snyder, ‘left University of Phoenix Stadium early in the fourth quarter and spat on the ground inside the stadium as a visible act of disgust.’
"The Washington owner was leaving the stadium, as he was unhappy with the ruling on the field that led to an Andre Roberts fumble not being overturned when it appeared he might have gotten his knee down before the ball came out.
Snyder was complaining about the call as the elevator went down and then, when he got off the elevator, which is a few feet from the stadium exit, he spat on the floor in disgust."
What really beggars belief in this whole situation is that there was still ten minutes left in the fourth quarter and Snyder's team were only losing by a meagre seven points. Does he really have that little faith in his team and more importantly Kirk Cousins to stick around to see what happens.
When do you hear of a team's owner giving up and leaving in a one possession game? This is really poor form from Snyder who just goes from bad to worse in his fight against common decency.
Navajo Nation President
This wasn't Snyder's only controversy from the Cardinals game. As his campaign to shove down our throats that his team name isn't racist, Snyder took in the game - before leaving early - with Ben Shelly, the Navajo Nation president.
There's a problem with Shelly though, he won't be President much longer after finishing an incredible seventh in the voting. Oh and he's also been accused of fraud and theft, as well as going against his own council to back Washington and reap in the benefits for himself.
Only Dan Snyder could find a native who is as hated in the community as he is.
