Chris Bosh has had a pretty passive-aggressive back and forth with former Miami Heat teammate LeBron James over this off-season and ahead of the new NBA season.
The Heat and Cleveland Cavaliers are heading into what will likely be a rivalry in the Eastern Conference for quite some time with LeBron James back in Cleveland and jilted former teammates Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade still in South Beach.
Not In Shape
Bosh has been talking about James quite a bit this off-season and he had more comments following their preseason game. Miami ended up actually losing to the Cavaliers 122-119 in overtime, but Bosh was still more than happy to comment on his former teammate who is obviously the only reason why Bosh has so many championship rings.
James was only able to score seven points on 2-8 shooting, which is likely why Bosh decided to open his mouth about James’ shape. "He’s not all the way in shape yet. You can tell. He doesn’t have his game legs yet," Bosh said according to Heat beat writer Jason Lieser.
What's Bosh's Problem?
It's not an obvious dig at James from Bosh but when you put it into context of the types of interviews that sports stars normally give - except Richard Sherman - any hint of a potential low blow aimed at an opponent is very much done on purpose.
But i'm still struggling to really see what the power forward's problem is here. He was the one who came out and said he hasn't spoken to James since the move, that LeBron ignored him at Wade's wedding and now this comment.
Chris Bosh comes across as a jilted former lover kind of character more and more every day. Is this the NBA or a really bad novel? Whatever it is, i can't wait for the action to actually start and this to be done with, well until the Cavs and Heat face each other that is.
