Eintracht Frankfurt general manager Bruno Hubner has revealed that his club will attempt to speak with Chelsea over the future of Brazilian midfielder Lucas Piazon, reports the Express.
Piazon is currently on loan at the German outfit, but it appears that Hubner would like the highly rated midfielder to extend his stay beyond the end of this season.
Hubner, then, believes Germany's elite division is the best place for the 20-year-old to develop after he previously spent time out on loan at Chelsea feeder club Vitesse Arnhem in the 2013/14 campaign.
“We will be looking to discuss things with Chelsea.
“Chelsea might hand him another loan year at our club. That would be what we are looking for because I think the Bundesliga is currently the best platform for Lucas Piazon.
“He can add a certain physical toughness to his game and will be able to make a big step if he learns to become a starter in the Bundesliga.”
The playmaker is without a doubt impressing in his early days in the Bundesliga, but it remains to be seen as to whether the Chelsea hierarchy will want to bring him back to Stamford Bridge in the near future.
Chelsea, though, already have an array of talent in the attacking areas of their midfield. Piazon's fellow Brazilian Oscar, of course, is currently starring at the club, whilst the Blues also have the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian, and Andre Schurrle plying their trade at the Bridge.
Piazon's versatility, though, may well help him succeed in the forseable future in England's elite division, but it may prove best for all parties if he continues to star in the Bundesliga.
For now, though, Blues boss Mourinho will be focussing on this weekend's Premier League clash with London rivals Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. Chelsea will be hoping to continue their unbeaten start after six wins from their opening seven fixtures.
Blues fans will be hoping that star duo Hazard and Diego Costa return from the international break fighting fit as they attempt to keep their five point lead at the top of England's elite division.
