Laura Barriales made the new face of Juventus TV

Published 1 Comments

There isn’t much to say about Juventus’ recent successes in Serie A. In the past three years they’ve won the title three times, and this campaign’s first few games have given fans every reason to believe that they can expect much of the same.

Juve success

Put plainly, everything they’re touching seems to turn to gold - Champions League notwithstanding. Never ones to rest on their laurels however it now appears that the powers that be at the Old Lady want to ensure the on-pitch achievements translate to their other departments, more specifically Juventus TV.

Juventus TV

In a move sure to be greeted by virtually every male fan who has any interest in the Turin giants, the club have announced that the latest addition to their in-house video team will be none other than Spanish model Laura Barriales.

Described on Juve’s official website as the “godmother” of JTV (Juventus Television), it’s a safe bet that the views on the club’s videos will sky-rocket, with Barriales already having appeared on-screen in order to drive the hype.

Barriales's suitability

She may not have a C.V as glittering as Gary Lineker’s but don’t let that deceive you, the 32-year-old has been a fan of both Juventus and Real Madrid since the days when the legendary Zinedine Zidane plied his trade for the former, and we don’t envisage there being too many football fans lodging complaints after the announcement of her new role.

It's said that Barriales will begin work immediately, with the aim most definitely to increase the viewership of Juventus' television channel. Fresh from their nail-biting 3-2 victory over title rivals AS Roma, Juve sit at the summit of Serie A, having maintained a 100 percent record domestically so far.

Fears that they would crumble following the shock departure of Antonio Conte have all but been allayed by Massimo Allegri, and there's genuine hope that they will be crowned Italian champions once again.
