When The Shield broke up earlier in the year, everybody feared that Dean Ambrose would be the member who became left behind and drop down the pecking order in the WWE.
All those fears have been allayed however as Ambrose has really come in to his own ever since Seth Rollins joined The Authority, turning his back on the group in the process. Ambrose has become a star, and has actually surpassed Rollins and Roman Reigns as the true breakout star from The Shield.
Well, Chris Jericho has taken note of just how rapidly the former United States champion has rocketed up the rankings, and Y2J has put his hat on The Lunatic Fringe to become the new face of the WWE for a long, long time to come.
"I saw Dean when he first started and there was something different about him. He has that Jeff Hardy 'X' factor." - Chris Jericho on Dean Ambrose.

"There's just something about him that you can't push on somebody," Jericho said with Brian Fritz of BetweenTheRopes.com. "You can teach them how to take a bump, give them a look, give them wins but certain guys have a certain something about them that you know is going to take them to the next level no matter what. Dean definitely has that and in my opinion. I'm not the god of everything but I have a pretty good track record of picking guys," the veteran added.
"I think he's the closest that they have right now to being the next face of the WWE. I don't think that's as important now with the Network and less emphasis on pay-per-views and that sort of thing. But as far as a guy who can come in there as the top babyface, I think Dean's your best best right now."
You know things are going well when you are being compared to Stone Cold Steve Austin and that's just what fans and bloggers are doing with Ambrose. Soon he'll have to become more than just a lunatic but right now it is doing him wonders.
