The Premier League has returned, and thank goodness for that. After the international break, normal service was resumed on Saturday as Chelsea recorded another win to reinforce their title credentials.

Crystal Palace were the latest side to be defeated by Chelsea as Jose Mourinho’s team triumphed 2-1 at Selhurst Park, and the west London club maintain a five point advantage at the top of the table above Manchester City.

The champions themselves clinched a comfortable victory over Tottenham, with Sergio Aguero scoring all four goals at the Etihad Stadium, and they remain the only team to have taken points from Chelsea this term.

There was also a record-breaking win from Southampton, winning 8-0 against Sunderland, while Arsenal collapsed in somewhat trademark style against Hull City at the Emirates Stadium.
