The annual Hell in a Cell pay-per-view takes place next Sunday at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas but the fans still don’t know what the main event could be.
Every single pay-per-view has that one headline bout which the fans pay good money to see; however this year one of two things has happened. We as fans have either been treated to two main event matches, or the WWE have done the best they can with the stars they have at their disposal with the likes of Brock Lesnar not around, whilst Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan are out with injuries.

- John Cena and Dean Ambrose won't face off at Hell in a Cell
Two good options
Whichever way you look at it there are still two great matches available to the fans, both of which have the obvious potential to close out any event; it just depends on which match the fans want to see go on last and stay excited throughout the event in the build-up to the main event.
The two options available to the WWE are the Hell in a Cell matches between Randy Orton and John Cena as well as Seth Rollins taking on Dean Ambrose.
Who will main event?
It’s been an interesting and entertaining few weeks for John Cena and Dean Ambrose, both of whom have trying to one up the other to get a crack at Seth Rollins. The original match between the pair was scheduled to take place at the Hell in a Cell event with the winners facing Rollins in the main event.
Cena and Ambrose then faced off on Monday Night Raw and despite losing to Ambrose; Cena could still feature in the main event.
PWInsider have reported that the current main event the WWE are planning on going with is the Randy Orton and John Cena match; even after the lengthy build-up to see who between Cena and Ambrose would meet Rollins inside the steel structure.
It’s not confirmed to close the show, but one would assume that the match which has received the most build-up, praise and involves an actual feud in Ambrose and Rollins would be headlining the event.
Rollins and Ambrose deserve to main event
There’s no denying that Cena and Orton put on classics every single time they are inside the ring, but Ambrose and Rollins are still the individuals that deserve to main event Hell in a Cell. The veterans will always put on a safe main event but Rollins and Ambrose would genuinely send the fans home happy, they’re the future of the business, they’ve received the most build-up and it is the best feud in the business today, especially the face and heel works of Ambrose and Rollins.
The future of the company needs to be tested at an event like Hell in a Cell, the WWE cannot stick with the safer bet as it will only hinder the progress of stars like these and fans can forget about seeing them in main event matches on bigger stages.
