There were a few 'big' stories over the weekend as issues regarding players' weight cropped up on a couple of occasions.
QPR boss Harry Redknapp hit out a one of his own players, as he suggested that Adel Taarabt was as much as three stone overweight, whilst it's been suggested that former Manchester United boss David Moyes banned the players from eating chips because of Alex Buttner.
Redknapp went mad
The Hoops boss endured a disastrous day as he watched his side concede a last minute goal against Liverpool yesterday. And, in the press conference after the game, Redknapp's emotions were still riding high as he blasted Taarabt for being overweight.
The Hoops boss said: "He's not injured. He's not fit. He's not fit to play football unfortunately. He played in a reserve game the other day and I could have run about more than he did.
"I pick people who want to try, who come in every day and work, train and show a good attitude. When he starts doing that, if he ever can, maybe he'll get a game.
"I can't protect people who don't want to run and train, and are about three stone overweight.
But, to the shock of many, Anderson wasn't the reason David Moyes banned chips at the Theatre of Dreams. It was Rio Ferdinand who brought it to our attention by revealing all in his latest autobiography, but many may well be surprised that Alex Buttner was the cause of the ban.
As the players enjoyed their meals, it appears that Buttner - who departed the Red Devils in the last transfer window - was enjoying an extremely large plate of chips.
So, with Taarabt and Buttner well and truly in the spotlight for weight issues, we're going to take a look at seven of the fattest current and former footballers out there.
