Unfortunately for everyone in the WWE universe, it appears that we are going to be getting a third, PPV Head-Lining title match in the space of six months between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, this time at the Royal Rumble in January.
Everyone thought that at Night of Champions we had seen the last of the incredibly saturated John Cena vs Brock Lesnar feud that the WWE pushed out just to keep things ticking over until injured stars were back in the ring. Well, it now seems that we were all wrong.
According to a report from Nick Paglino WrestleZone, as the Road to WrestleMania gets underway with the Royal Rumble, we will all be treated to the third installment of the feud.
"According to F4WOnline.com, as of this writing the current plan in WWE is to have Brock Lesnar return at the December 8th Slammy Awards edition of Raw. The plans are also to have Lesnar face John Cena in his first return title defense at The Royal Rumble, which could be a possible John Cena vs Randy Orton Hell in a Cell match spoiler."
Is it all bad?
As stated at the end of the report, this could well be a clear indication of the result for Cena vs Randy Orton this Sunday at Hell in a Cell. Or it is entirely possible for Orton to win at HIAC and for Cena to still become Lesnar's target at the Rumble in the title match.
A lot of people will be annoyed by this if it comes true, and rightly so. Cena vs Lesnar is as tired as Cena vs Orton is and it just seems that WWE Creative have completely run out of ideas for the veterans.
But, the saving grace will be the fact that the Royal Rumble itself is the main event of the PPV, so a possible match between Cena and Lesnar won't be as big a letdown.
So WWE fans, what do you think will happen at Hell in a Cell? Is Cena coming out on top or is Randy Orton getting the title shot? Tell us what you think in the comments below...
