New England Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis missed the team's practice on Tuesday after being dismissed by head coach Bill Belichick according to a Boston Globe report.
It is being reported that the reasoning behind the dismissal of Revis was tardiness, the star cornerback was late for a 7:30am practice and the reason for his lack of punctuality is unknown.

Revis and the Patriots had just completed a divisional win over his former team, the New York Jets, on Thursday night and the players had been given the weekend off to rest before their return to practice on Tuesday.
The cornerbacks late appearance to the mandatory practice did not sit well with Belichick who sent him home immediately, Revis was asked about his absence from practice in the locker room on Wednesday, he responded: "Between me and Coach, Talk to him about it."
Unfortunately Belichick was not asked about Revis' absence during his Wednesday press conference but this type of stern management is not uncommon for the head coach, in the past he has sent home star players like Randy Moss and Adalius Thomas for the same reason.
Not even freak weather incidents can excuse you from the rules laid down by Belichick, as linebacker Brandon Spikes found out.
Spikes now with the Buffalo Bills was with the Patriots between 2010-13, Spikes missed a Patriots practice session when he was caught in a snow storm but was still dismissed by his head coach when he finally arrived, the linebacker even tweeted a picture of his snow-covered car but to no avail.
Revis returned to the side on Wednesday and there appears to be no lasting affects of his late appearance on Tuesday, the Patriots will face off against the Chicago Bears on Sunday in a game which Revis will be pivotal as he will face a spectacular wide receiving core of the Bears.
