DeMarco Murray has been playing like a man possessed so far this season for the Dallas Cowboys.
Seven games into the 2014 NFL schedule the stud running back has performed beyond even the most optimistic Cowboys' fans pre-season expectations and has the stat line to prove it.
Murray has rushed for over 100 yards in all seven of Dallas' games this season, registering seven touchdowns in the process. A truly staggering effort and a feat that had never before been achieved by a player at the start of a season.
But, as any running back worth his salt knows, numbers like that are only possible with a formidable defensive line in front of you doing their job, and doing it well.
The Dallas Cowboys, to many people's surprise, have had exactly that in 2014 and DeMarco Murray showed his appreciation for the men in front of him at the line of scrimmage with a special gift this week.
According to Cowboys beat writer Clarence Hill, the offensive linemen were greeted to the sight of the Apple products in their lockers when they came back from meetings. With an iMac valued at around $1,300 these days it is a pretty big gesture from Murray and one that points to a great, united atmosphere in the Cowboys locker room. A 7-1 record will do that for a team.
The Cowboys offensive line has been a major success this season, and after using three picks in recent drafts on OLD Zack Martin (2014), left tackle Tyron Smith (2011) and center Travis Frederick (2013) the franchise are certainly starting to see the benefits.
DeMarco Murray clearly appreciates their work, and added some words of thanks to his expensive gift when discussing the role of the offensive line recently.
"They lay it out there for me; I lay it out there for them..."I think we're all playing together."
