This Sunday at Hell in a Cell Randy Orton is set to go one on one against John Cena in one of two main events on the night, however a face turn has been rumoured for a number of months now.
It would be safe to say the start of his face turn officially started this past week on Monday Night Raw, after hitting an RKO on John Cena he also hit an RKO on Paul Heyman.
The closing scene of Monday Night Raw saw Mr. Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins stand tall on top of the cell, moments after hitting Randy Orton with a Curb Stomp.
It has been heavily rumoured that along with the face turn, he is due to feud with Seth Rollins – which is likely to take place before he cashes in his briefcase.
Ever since Triple H recruited Seth Rollins to The Authority, both Orton and Rollins have rarely seen eye to eye and have recently tried to one up each other every week; if the two do feud it means Orton will no longer be a part of The Authority, and a big void will be left to fill.
Orton has remained in Rollins’ shadow for months now, but if The Authority do add a new superstar, it would need to be someone who is on the same level as Rollins or somebody who wouldn’t mind playing second fiddle to Rollins. At the same time, being in The Authority around so much talent and experience in Kane, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H will only result in positives for any new addition.

- WWE: Cesaro has flopped as a Paul Heyman guy
In my opinion there are two perfect candidates for The Authority to recruit, both of whom could benefit greatly by being a part of the group, whether it’s to keep them relevant, gain heat as well as increasing their chances of receiving a push.
Bad News Barrett
Bad News Barrett has been out of action for almost five months after being stripped off his Intercontinental Championship; courtesy of Jack Swagger. Barrett is a great heel the fans genuinely love because he’s found the gimmick that works well for him, it’s fresh and it is entertaining. Now, if the WWE want Barrett to stay a massive heel, then sticking him with The Authority would be a perfect move – and not only because Triple H and Stephanie McMahon love saying his quote in a British accent.
He has a great, rough look about him, he is experienced and at his age I highly doubt a World Championship is on the agenda – that’s not saying he isn’t capable of becoming the World Champion, and we all know he is. I think he would be a perfect replacement for Orton because he loves to fight, plain and simple. When The Authority wants something done, they don’t always send Seth Rollins to do the dirty work; Barrett would be a perfect choice alongside Kane to do so.
Cesaro is the second superstar I believe would be a good replacement for Randy Orton. Since WrestleMania; Cesaro has had a rollercoaster of a year, the first ever winner of the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal and then becoming an official Paul Heyman guy which unfortunately crashed and burned.
Cesaro is too good to sit around the mid card, there are only so many times he can switch from challenging the United States Champion to the Intercontinental Champion; he is a main event calibre superstar and it is a risk to put him in the championship picture, but there’s no harm in putting him in The Authority where he will be able to ease his way into an elite level feud.
Like Barrett, he loves to fight and his strength is showcased every single week and that strength could be a new dimension brought into The Authority, different to Kane who competes on the odd occasion, Cesaro would help The Authority as much as The Authority would help Cesaro’s development as a main event level superstar.
