Liverpool will be hoping for a much needed win after a difficult week in Europe when they take on Steve Bruce's Hull City side at Anfield.
The Reds were taught a lesson in the Champions League by Real Madrid who strolled to a 3-0 victory on Wednesday, and now Brendan Rodgers will have to pick his side up and dust them off with Hull waiting to pounce on any weaknesses.
Of course this is the first season that Rodgers has had to juggle the demands of European and domestic football, and he has reacted accordingly after a bad day in the office in mid-week.
Liverpool team: Mignolet; Manquillo, Lovren, Skrtel, Moreno; Gerrard, Allen, Can, Lallana; Sterling, Balotelli
Subs: Jones, Toure, Johnson, Henderson, Lambert, Markovic, Coutinho
Hull team: Jakupovic, Chester, Bruce, Davies, Elmo, Brady, Huddlestone, Livermore, Diame, Ben Arfa, Hernandez
Subs: Watson, Rosenior, Meyler, McShane, Aluko, Ramirez, Quinn
Balotelli has the chance to prove his growing list of doubters wrong after he raised eyebrows by swapping shirts at half-time against Madrid having been substituted. Emre Can comes in for Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana starts ahead of Philippe Coutinho, and Javi Manquillo also gets the nod.
