Manchester United face their biggest test of the season to date as they play hosts to Chelsea at Old Trafford this afternoon.
The Red Devils have struggled for consistency so far this season, and after picking up back-to-back wins could only manage a draw against West Brom in their last outing. The two dropped points mean they have fallen down from fourth to eighth - although they could climb once more if they pick up all three points today.
That will likely be a difficult task for Louis van Gaal's Manchester United team as they go up against a Chelsea team that have flown out of the blocks. Jose Mourinho's men are yet to taste defeat in the league this season and they sit comfortably at the top of the table - and they can put more space between them and title rivals Manchester City, who dropped points against West Ham, today.
Manchester United team: De Gea, Rafael, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Fellaini, Januzaj, Di Maria, Mata, van Persie
Subs: Lindegaard, Blackett, Fletcher, Carrick, Herrera, A.Pereira, Wilson
Chelsea team: Courtois; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Filipe Luis; Matic, Fabregas; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Drogba
Subs: Cech, Zouma, Ake, Mikel, Baker, Salah, Schurrle
However Chelsea are without Diego Costa and Loic Remy for the game through injury, meaning that Dider Drogba will lead the line. For Manchester United, Juan Mata has been handed another start with Wayne Rooney suspended, while Marouane Fellaini has been drafted in to replace Ander Herrera.
Radamel Falcao isn't even on the bench, while Angel di Maria has recovered from a thigh injury to start.
