Argentina football legend Diego Maradona has been accused of beating his girlfriend Rocio Oliva after she 'secretly filmed' him hitting her twice in a row over mobile phone usage.
The video shows the 53-year-old enraged over his partners use of her mobile phone and shows the former-Argentine legend shouting at her before proceeding to strike her as she begs for him to calm down.
Maradona has denied claims of him attacking his 23-year-old girlfriend and has explained how he was simply trying to knock the mobile phone out of her hands.
On monday night, Maradona is seen slowly lifting himself over his sofa and making his way over to his girlfriend as he splutters: "You still looking at your phone?"
As the ex-Napoli footballer angrily approaches, Oliva responds "Can't I look at it?" before begging him: "Stop Diego, calm down, stop hitting." as he allegedly tried to strike her twice with his right hand.

Maradona pleads his innocence
The footage of the incident was broadcast on Argentine TV program "Nosotros al Mediodía" and Oliva can be heard pleading with Maradona to "stop hitting me"
Maradona was then questioned by journalists over the alleged beating incident and has responded:
"I sent the phone flying but I swear I've never hit a woman. The story starts and finishes there. I admit I knocked the phone out of Rocio's hands but there's nothing more to it. The situation didn't continue."
Maradona was forced onto the defensive after the shocking footage was released and he has been brandished a "psychopath and woman beater" by the aunt of Oliva.
The incident was believed to have taken place at the stars Buenos Aires apartment after Maradona had returned to his native country to be with his father who had been rushed to hospital earlier this month.
His relationship with the 23-year-old Oliva has always been surrounded by controversy, their feuds have been made public and an incident was revealed last May of their troublesome iinteractions
Maradona and Oliva had exchanged insults in alleged row on a plane flight last May, the pair had to be separated in order to calm down as they continued to spout abuse at one another.
Maradona starting dating Oliva in 2013 and got engaged to the former women's footballer earlier this year.
