Mike Tyson has explained how he and Robin Williams shared the same 'low-life drug dealer' in a SiriusXM radio interview on Wednesday.
The former-heavyweight champion opened up about his battle with depression and mental illness, it was this avenue in which he met the Hollywood actor, who committed suicide aged 63 in August.
The pair shared the same drug dealer and when speaking about battling his demons, Tyson explained to Howard Stern of SiriusXM radio: "People that deal with this situation (addiction), we know each other."
Tyson and Williams had attended meeting for depression together, the actor had suffered with the abuse since the 1980's and had re-entered rehab one month before his death in August.
Tyson was asked whether they confided in each other and he responded:
"This is very interesting, When I met him and he said, "I was waiting for you. ... He started telling me about somebody I was purchasing from. I said to myself, how does he know this lowlife dealer I know? They shouldn't be in the same state. You go to every measure to get high. Everybody knows everybody."

View on Williams' suicide
Tyson had a very poignant view on the death of Williams, of course he was devastated at the loss of such a gifted actor and someone he knew through his own struggles but a sense of disappointment over losing Williams to a disease was worse for him.
First of all Tyson explained how the news shook him and that it was scary, that if you have a mental illness that suicide is something you certainly contemplate, he called it "comfort", he went on to add:
"The reason he did that? He really killed the wrong person. It's all about killing the disease he possessed. It's not about killing yourself."
The 48-year-old former boxer mentions how he is clean nowadays but its a daily battle that he still fights and will likely fight for the rest of his life, he explained:
"I'm clean now. But this is a constant fight. Eventually that dark entity's going to knock on the door. The fact is we're all human and it doesn't care what race you are, how rich you are, it just wants you to be miserable."
The whole world was shaken by the news of Williams and Tyson is able to give us an even further insight to not only the actors battle with the terrible disease but the current fight is going through.
