Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has pledged his loyalty to the club on Instagram, despite being told he can leave.
This has been reported by the Daily Mail, who have suggested that the player wants to stay at the Theatre of Dreams even though the club are closing in on a deal with former Barcelona star Victor Valdes.
Vales has been training with the Red Devils as he continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury, and the same report has revealed that he could sign for the club within weeks.
It appears, though, that Lindegaard wants to fight for his place under Louis van Gaal, despite struggling for opportunities so far this season. In fact, the Danish shot-stopper hasn't featured for the first-team under the Dutch boss in a competitive fixture.
As he posted a picture of himself on Instagram, his caption read: 'Follow the light #Loyalty #manchesterunited #mufc #oldtrafford".'
It remains to be seen as to whether Van Gaal will ultimately push Lindegaard out of the Old Trafford exit gates, or whether the 'keeper can prove himself under the new regime.

De Gea brilliance
It's not surprising that the 30-year-old has failed to stamp his mark on the team, however, with Spanish ace David de Gea in wonderful form. De Gea' put in a number of inspired performances throughout the campaign so far, and is undisputedly the club's No.1.
In fact, the 'keeper has just picked up the club's Player of the Month award for October after some outstanding displays for the Red Devils. The potential signing of Valdes, though, may put him under further pressure to succeed, whilst Lindegaard will also be hoping to challenge him for a starting role.
De Gea and Co. will be in action this weekend, as Van Gaal's side travel to the Etihad to take on rivals Manchester City. United will be desperate to secure a result against the Premier League champions as they go in search of climbing the Premier League table.
