Los Angeles Lakers are said to be already focusing their attentions on next year's free agency signing period after a poor start to the current season, according to reports.
It seems a little rash, but after two convincing defeats to the Houston Rockets and the Phoenix Suns, reports suggest that the Lakers are already planning several big deals in 2015 that will see them return to their former glories.
Rumors have been flying around in the last 48 hours that suggest the Lakers are preparing themselves to target several NBA stars that will be out of contact at the end of this season.
2015 free agent targets revealed
The Lakers missed out on two huge free agency signings this summer, with both LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony turning down the opportunity to move to the West Coast. It was Carmelo Anthony in particular that the Lakers were courting the most, with plenty of reports suggesting at the time that Carmelo was very interested in the move.
But it's understood that the Lakers have not been left bruised and hurt by the failures in free agency this summer, and reports have indicated that the storied franchise will be chasing the signatures of star ballers including LaMarcus Aldridge, Jamaal Crawford and Rajon Rondo in 2015.

Hard season to come
It looks as thought it is going to be a long and hard season for the LA Lakers after a terrible start to the season. It's not like the Lakers have been absolutely horrific in their first two games of the 2014/15 NBA season, it's just the opening two games have given Lakers fans that feeling of 'here we go again'.
The Lakers were comfortably beaten by the Houston Rockets in their season opener Wednesday night, as the Rockets dispatched of LA by 18 points. But it wasn't the margin of defeat that was the most depressing thing for the Lakers, it was the fact that rookie star baller Julius Randle went down with an equally unlucky and horrific leg break injury that will most likely put him out for the rest of the NBA season that has only just started.
There may be hope
It would take a lot for the Lakers to turn their problems around, but maybe just maybe, signing one or more of the free agent stars Aldridge, Crawford or Rondo will put them back up their with the best in the NBA.
Only time will tell whether or not the Lakers pull of these rumored 2015 free agency desires, but one thing is for sure, the 2014/15 NBA season will be a long hard slog for the Lakers franchise.
