It has been several months now since RAW was graced by the sudden and spectacular appearance of Stardust.
Cody Rhodes in gold and black came out to partner his brother Goldust and since then, they have taken the WWE by storm.
During Stardust's debut in the WWE, he eventually began trending #1 worldwide on Twitter and the WWE fans had a new hero.
Since then the dynamic duo have created some of the strangest video messages in WWE history - even rivalling those of Bray Wyatt.
Their most significant contribution however came from winning the tag team championships and turning the WWE Universe against them.
- Who should team with John Cena at Survivor Series?
- Top superstar takes huge swipe at WWE over potential character turn
- Vince McMahon makes desperate decision to save WWE
Whilst they are now one of the only acceptable tag teams in the company, is it possible that they will soon be coming to an end?
Well if Rhodes is to believed on Twitter then it looks like the search for the cosmic key could be over within the next two months.
On his separate Twitter account, he hosted a question and answer session with the WWE Universe.
He was asked if he would ever wrestle as just plain old Cody Rhodes again and he gave WWE fans a possible glimpse into the future.
"Maybe the Royal Rumble...." - Tweeted by Cody Rhodes
So if Cody Rhodes is to return at the Royal Rumble, this will surely mean doomed days for the strange siblings.
Not living up to the hype?
Gold and Stardust where a revelation when the duo first appeared on our screens and even took Goldust off that terrible losing streak he was on.
When they turned heel in order to feud with the Usos for the tag team championships, they lost something.
Not only were they not as popular, but fans didn't seem to take to them any more despite inevitably winning the titles.
It could be possible that the duo are set for a break up and the superstars preparing to go their own ways.
Who knows what could be planned for the two in the near future but after the events of Monday night, needless to say, their next challengers wont be Mark Henry and the Big Show.
