Arsenal welcome Burnley to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, and Arsene Wenger has been forced into a few changes.
He confirmed yesterday in his pre-match press conference that Jack Wilshere is carrying a knee injury and the England international misses out.
Kieran Gibbs has passed a late fitness test and starts at left-back, while Arsenal’s lengthy list of absentees makes for depressing reading. Look away now Arsenal fans - Mathieu Debuchy, Laurent Koscielny, Mesut Ozil, Abou Diaby and Olivier Giroud are all out as well.
The Gunners currently sit just outside the Champions League qualification places and will be looking for three points here against a Burnley side without a win since returning to the Premier League.
They sit rooted to the bottom of the table with just four points from their opening nine games, although Sean Dyche insists his side will not panic despite the difficult fixture list they face between now and Christmas.
