Real Madrid to allow Khedira talks as Lucas Silva deal nears

Published 1 Comments

Real Madrid have decided to swoop for Cruzeiro star Lucas Silva after more glowing recommendations from the club’s South American scout Serginho - and that frees up Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United transfer target Sami Khedira to leave the club.

According to the Daily Express, which quotes reports in Spain, Carlo Ancelotti is ready to green-light the move for the 21-year-old midfielder, who has been one of the stars of Brazilian football over the last 12 months.

Serginho, a former AC Milan player and now Real Madrid scout, is trusted by Ancelotti having worked with him for seven seasons up to now and the Madrid boss is happy to act on his recommendations.

Lucas Silva has also been watched by Manchester United, but it’s believed the Brazilian would favour a move to the Bernabeu over Old Trafford.

That would allow United boss Louis van Gaal to sign Khedira, who helped Germany to the World Cup trophy over the summer in Brazil.
