International team-mates Sergio Aguero and Marcos Rojo, who coincidentally play for rival Manchester clubs, are in dispute after the defender invited the ex-husband of the City striker's girlfriend into the dressing room during the World Cup in Brazil.
Aguero was due to take part in a kids coaching session in Ardwick near Manchester city centre but due to the recent events between himself and Rojo, decided to sensibly back out of the Premier League Kicks initiative.
Rojo began to dig into his international colleague after his absence, quoted by The Mirror as stating: "Where is Sergio?, maybe he is scared." Aguero had claimed to be meeting some family members at the airport, but press at the local airport reported that the 26-year-old had not been spotted.
World Cup row at the heart of bitter feud
The row has recently boiled over as the hugely anticipated Manchester derby has approached. It all came about when Rojo invited the ex-husband of Sergio Aguero's girlfriend into the Argentina dressing room to participate in celebrations with the team after their successful victory over Nigeria.
Karina Tajeda is the latest name in Sergio Aguero's after a relationship with Diego Maradona's daughter ended approximately two years ago.
Aguero is still furious
The Argentine forward was infuriated by the situation and squared up to Rojo after being dragged away from his partners' ex-lover.
Rojo consequently told reporters that he would "mark Aguero firmly" in the derby on Sunday to increase the feisty characteristics of the game that we will see along with the competitive fans who have been reported to be "closely watched" due to the concern of drones being flown above the pitch which could spark trouble.
This is probably one of the most anticipated Manchester derbies to date as it has small pieces that all fit together to create a monstrous jigsaw puzzle that can be left in nothing but a dangerous mess.
