Dean Ambrose set to face Bray Wyatt at Survivor Series

Published 1 Comments

Following Bray Wyatt's return at Hell in a Cell last Sunday night and his attack on former United States Champion Dean Ambrose, it's not surprising WWE have announced that the two will face off at Survivor Series in three weeks time.

It was announced after this week's Smackdown, which saw Ambrose compete in an action packed Trick or Street fight against Cesaro. Smackdown is recorded on a Tuesday which means Ambrose took part in this match just days after being a part of that brutal Hell in a Cell main event against Seth Rollins that saw both men fall from the structure and go through different announce tables.

Bray was thought to have ruined one of the best matches in recent memory by many of the WWE Universe, just as Ambrose was about to put Seth's head through cinder blocks as a form of revenge for the same actions that Seth carried out merely weeks ago.

Bray himself has been missing from WWE since before Night of Champions and has recently split from The Wyatt Family, who look to have all gone their separate ways. This will be a big test for Bray to see if he can defeat someone of Deans calibre alone.

Right decision

This announcement will also end the speculation that Dean will play a part in Team Cena v Team Authority in the traditional five on five elimination match. Whilst the former Shield member would have been the perfect person to step up and go against The Authority, the issues he has with John Cena and Bray Wyatt would have played a part so it seems the creative team have picked the best option.

As for Cena's team, Smackdown also saw Rollins and Kane send a message to Cena using Dolph Ziggler who accepted two chokeslams and a curb stomp from the two members of The Authority, which means we still don't know if Dolph will play a part in team Cena or if this will be enough to see The Show Off decline.

US Championship

Smackdown was rather action packed this week and also saw Sheamus accept Rusev's challenge for his United States Championship, in a match that should be announced in the not to distant future. After tearing apart everyone in his path, including the World's Strongest man and The World's Largest Athlete, will Sheamus put up more of a fight against the Bulgarian Brute or will Rusev finally wear gold?

Survivor Series is always down as one of the best pay-per-views of the year and since the WWE Network is finally available in the UK on November 3rd, the pay-per-view is free for all who sign up this month.
