When it was announced last week that former WWE Champion Randy Orton was the latest superstar to land a role in a WWE films production, it was inevitable that he would need to be written off TV.
The Viper has been a massive hit with fans as of late with the "RKO out of nowhere" Vine going viral and the Appex Predator himself even teasing a face turn after an RKO to Seth Rollins last week on Raw.
Now it seems much like Dean Ambrose before him, Randy is set to go out on a high as he could be removed from WWE TV as early as Raw tonight, and is set to miss Survivor Series entirely.
The filming for the follow up to Stone Cold Steve Austin's The Condemned will begin on November 11th and Orton is set to be taken out in an "injury" storyline which could be The Authority turning on Randy and Seth and Kane putting "The face of the WWE" out of action.
This film comes at the worst time for both Seth and Randy as they were set to have one of the best rivalries in WWE in a long time, Orton's teased face turn has been one of the best parts of The Authorities gimmick and finally after the RKO last week it looked like Triple H has turned on one of his own.
- Absent superstar in town for backstage showdown talks
- Orton takes huge swipe at WWE over potential character turn
- Who should team with John Cena at Survivor Series?
This could be the exact reasoning for him to be taken out tonight, and Triple H could order it himself. This could allow Randy Orton to follow Ambrose and make a surprise return at the pay-per-view on the 26th and cost Team Authority the win over Team Cena.
Right now Dolph Ziggler is the only member of the WWE locker room that has been approached by Cena to join his team and after he was assaulted by both Kane and Seth on Friday night Smackdown, it seems the locker room could have got the message and Cena could be standing alone against the people at the top of the WWE pyramid.
There are many superstars like Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan who would team with Cena against The Authority, but the afore mentioned are both injured and can't play the role that fans would have loved to have seen.
All that is known for sure is that in three weeks at Survivor Series Cena and The Authority will finally face off and Randy Orton will not be scheduled to be there, instead he will be finishing up filming and could run interference. As for tonight, it looks like that face turn could be happening as The Viper is taken out.
