Jersey sales in the NFL can tell us a lot about who the fans like most in the league, well now Indianapolis Colts Quarterback Andrew Luck has topped the list every player will have been aiming for.

According to Dick's Sporting Goods Jersey Report, Luck's jersey is the most popular one purchased by the NFL's female fans.

Perhaps most surprisingly however is whose NFL jersey is the most popular within the state of Minnesota.

Despite being the single biggest rivals to the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is the most purchased jersey in the state.

Perhaps not such a large betrayal, but the state of Vermont which is firmly based in New England, actually buys more Drew Brees jerseys than Tom Brady.

Luck tops the list which also features Cleveland Browns Quarterback Johnny Manziel at 13th and legends like Tom Brady and Drew Brees also dominating.

Manziel is 13th on the list as he dominates in Ohio but no-where else clearly showing the Cleveland rookie isn't that loved elsewhere in America.

Manziel accounted for 2% of all female jersey sales compared to his 6% sale number amongst the male NFL fans.

Three Quarterbacks claimed the top spot in four states each with Russell Wilson, Brady and Brees clearly very well presented.

Meanwhile, Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton was also well represented finishing second in four different areas.

And it shows

Luck is currently atop of the passer standings on pro-footballreference.com with him throwing the joint second highest number of touchdown this season.

Luck may be the most popular amongst the ladies, and he and the Colts are certainly enjoying a good season.

The Colts are currently 5-3 this season and Luck has in fact been hit more times than any other Quarterback this season.

They are currently taking on the New York Giants with a win giving them a second straight loss.

Despite starting 0-2, the Colts went on a five game winning and now top the AFC South ahead of the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars.
