Football News

The draw for this week's WGC HSBC Champions in China has been announced. Henrik Stenson is reunited with his Ryder Cup partner Justin Rose as well as American counterpart Bubba Watson. Stenson missed last week's BMW Masters as he was taking time off following the birth of his third child.

Golfing World News caught up with last year's Race to Dubai winner as he looks ahead to the second event in the final four series.

Adam Scott is also in action in Shanghai, he is in the process of looking for a caddy to replace Steve Williams who retired in September. Unsurprisingly Scott has had plenty of interest in the job with around one hundred caddies offering their services. The successful candidate is expected to make at least $500,000 on Scott’s bag next year, assuming the Australian maintains his excellent form.

And finally, a quirk of the ranking system means Dustin Johnson has moved up in the World Rankings despite being in the middle of a six-month leave of absence. Johnson has moved up two places from 17th to 15th. Johnson’s agent, David Winkle, responded to the news by claiming that Johnson will be climbing even higher up the rankings as soon as he returns to action.
