Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he has 'many years' left at the club, reports Goal.com.
The World Player of the Year was speaking after he picked up the European Golden Shoe award, and he vowed to keep on scoring for the Bernabeu giants.
Ronaldo's latest comments, then, may come a blow to Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal, who has been credited with interest in the player for some time. Ronaldo, of course, spent six years at Old Trafford, before the departing the club for a then world record £80 million in 2009.
However, it now appears that he won't be returning to the Theatre of Dreams anytime soon, as he said: "I did not expect so many people to be here.
"I would like to thank my team-mates for their help because, without it, it wouldn't have been possible to win this Golden Boot. Secondly, I would to thank my family, the fans and the club for giving me the opportunity to play at the best club in the world.

"I like individual awards and I work hard towards them. For me, this is like my first Golden Boot. It is a special day. I want to share it with the people that have supported me since the first day I came to Real Madrid.
"I promise to keep doing my best with goals, assists and matches. I have many years left at Real Madrid and I will continue trying to give my best. This is very special for me. I am very happy."
Will they wait?
It certainly appears, then, that Ronaldo is set to stay on at the Bernabeu for a number of years yet, with a move to Manchester United increasingly more unlikely considering the superstar is already closing in on his 30th birthday.
It remains to be seen as to whether Manchester United will at least attempt to bring the Portuguese superstar back to the club in the summer transfer window or whether they will have to make-do with what they've got at their disposal.
The Red Devils do, of course, have Ronaldo's former Real Madrid teammate Angel di Maria at the club, with the Argentine winger having taken the the famous No.7 shirt at the Theatre of Dreams.
As well as Di Maria, United also have the likes of Radamel Falcao, Wayne Rooney, Adnan Januzaj and Co. at their club. And the Red Devils stars will be in action this weekend as they play host to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Louis van Gaal's side will be hoping to bounce back on Saturday after suffering a derby day defeat to rivals Manchester City in their last fixture.
