Manchester United 2007/08 - where are they now?

The 2007-08 season was a glorious one for Manchester United as Sir Alex Ferguson led his side to a domestic and European double, clinching both the Premier League and the Champions League.

United pipped Chelsea to the title by a mere two points before breaking their hearts once again with a dramatic penalty shootout victory in the European showpiece in Moscow.

But where are United's stars of this campaign now?

Van der Sar to Vidic...

1. Edwin van der Sar - VDS ended up retiring in 2011 but stayed with the club until then.

2. Gary Neville - Neville also retired in 2011 after remaining with the club until then.

3. Patrice Evra - Evra currently plays for Juventus after leaving United on a free in summer 2014.

4. Owen Hargreaves - Hargreaves retired in 2012 after leaving United in 2011 to join fierce rivals Manchester City until his retirement.

5. Rio Ferdinand - Ferdinand currently plays for Queens Park Rangers after leaving United on a free transfer in 2014.

6. Wes Brown - Brown currently plays for Sunderland after leaving United in summer 2011 for an undisclosed fee.

7. Cristiano Ronaldo - Ronaldo currently plays for Champions League winners Real Madrid after his massive £80 million move in summer 2009.

8. Anderson - He still plays for United but has been massively linked away for the club for a few years now.

9. Louis Saha - This proved to be Saha’s last season for United as he joined Everton in the summer 2008 for an undisclosed fee. He later moved to Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland and Lazio, eventually retiring in 2013.

10. Wayne Rooney - Still at the club, Rooney his now the captain and recently celebrated a decade at Old Trafford.

11. Ryan Giggs - Giggs became player/manager in 2014 after David Moyes’ departure. He eventually retired that summer and became Louis van Gaal’s assistant manager.

12. Ben Foster - Foster currently plays for West Brom after leaving United in 2010 to join Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee, until he joined West Brom in 2012.

13. Park Ji-Sung - He moved to QPR for an undisclosed fee in 2012 and spent the final season of his playing career with PSV. He is now a global ambassador for Man United.

15. Nemanja Vidic - Vidic currently plays for Internazionale after leaving United for free in 2014.

Carrick to Martin...

16. Michael Carrick - Still at the club but struggling with injury in the 2014/15 season.

17. Nani - Still at the club, but currently on loan at Sporting Lisbon for the 2014/15 season.

18. Paul Scholes - Announced his retirement in 2011 and returned to ease an injury crisis six months later. Hung up his boots for good after Sir Alex Ferguson's departure.

19. Gerard Pique - Pique currently plays for Barcelona after leaving at the end of the 2007/08 season for £5 million.

21. Dong Fangzhuo - Dong is currently at Hebei Zhongji, after leaving United at the end of the 2007/08 season after his contract was mutually terminated.

22. John O’Shea - O’Shea is playing for Sunderland after leaving United in 2011 for an undisclosed fee.

23. Jonny Evans - Evans is still at United and and is an experienced member of the club's defence.

24. Darren Fletcher - Fletcher is still at the club and was awarded the vice-captaincy by Louis van Gaal.

25. Danny Simpson - Simpson left United in 2010 for a reported fee of £750,000 to join Newcastle United but he now plays for Leicester City.

26. Phil Bardsley - Left for Sunderland in January 2008 for £850,000 before joining Stoke in the summer of 2014.

27. Mikaël Silvestre - Silvestre left United in the summer of 2008 to join Arsenal for an undisclosed fee, later joining Werder Bremen and Portland Timbers. He currently plays for Chennaiyi in the ISL.

28. Darron Gibson - The Irishman plays for Everton after leaving in 2012 for an undisclosed fee.

29. Thomasz Kuszczak - Was released by United in 2012. Went on to join Brighton and now plays for Leeds.

30. Lee Martin - The Englishman currently plays for Millwall. Left United for Ipswich for an undisclosed fee from United in 2009.

Tevez to Welbeck...

32. Carlos Tevez - He left United in 2009 to join rivals Manchester City for a reportedly enormous £47 million. Won the FA Cup and Premier League at the Etihad Stadium before leaving for Juventus.

33. Chris Eagles - Eagles is without a club after his release from Bolton. He left United for Burnley in 2008 for an undisclosed fee.

34. Rodrigo Possebon - The Brazilian currently plays for Nautico. He left the club in 2010 and joined Santos.

38. Tom Heaton - Heaton currently plays for Burnley after being released by United in 2010.

39. Fraizer Campbell - The English striker is plying his trade in the Premier League for Crystal Palace. Left United in 2009 for £3.5 million to join Sunderland.

40. Adam Eckersley - Eckersley plays for Hearts after joining Horsens on a free transfer in 2008.

43. Sam Hewson - The Englishman currently plays for FH after joining Altrincham from United in 2010 on a free transfer.

45. Febian Brandy - Brandy is contracted to Rotherham, he was released by United in 2010.

46. Richard Eckersley - Eckersley plays for New York Red Bulls, he left United in 2009 to join Burnley.

47. Danny Welbeck - The most recent departure. Left Man United for Arsenal this summer in a controversial £16 million transfer.
