When Ryback was scheduled to be out for a few months after surgery earlier this year, WWE made the concious decision to keep Curtis Axel off the TV as well so that the tag team could return together and also to not draw attention to the fact that Ryback was missing.
Now Ryback has fully recovered, he has returned to WWE as a babyface and looks to be one of the hard hitting members of Team Cena at Survivor Series, that is if The Authority don't recruit him first, after they were impressed by his performance on Monday Night Raw.
This left the tag team of RybAxel up in the air somewhat, until all the questions were answered on this week's episode of WWE Superstars. In a segment on the show, Axel had just lost to Adam Rose and was not happy about it when Ryback came in and started joking about how he had been lost in Mexico.
Ryback then said that Rose obviously cheated to win because he can't beat Axel clean before telling him that he was going to focus on his singles career now and about how he had read some books on politics whilst he was recovering from surgery.
The two then had a moment where they talked about going their separate ways, but they would still see each other down the line and Ryback added that all great tag teams split up and get back together and so they will.

Tag Team trouble
Breaking up another tag team comes at quite a bad time for WWE as the only real threats for the Tag Team Championship now seems to be The Usos and Los Matadores. After the amount of matches between Star and Goldust and The Usos in recent weeks, you have to think WWE and the WWE Universe are tired of seeing it and now the division is long overdue some new blood.
The Ascension were heavily rumoured to be backstage on Raw last Monday and there was hope that they could be making their debut, but this failed to come to fruition and still the Universe awaits their debut on the main roster. These have to be the only real guys who can challenge the Brotherhood and WWE need to make that match happen soon.
As for Axel and Ryback, they seem to both have bright futures as singles competitors after both being taken under the wing of Paul Heyman. Axel could yet play a big part in Survivor Series later in the month, it still remains to be seen.
