The Green Bay Packers ran riot against the Chicago Bears in the late NFL game Sunday night with Aaron Rodgers throwing for six touchdowns in the first half alone. The 55-14 blowout win was the second consecutive game that the Bears have conceded over 50 points, a feat not achieved since 1923 by the Rochester Jeffersons. While it was good news for one veteran quarterback this weekend the same can’t be said for the Arizona Cardinals’ starting QB. Carson Palmer suffered a reported torn ACL during the team’s win over the St. Louis Rams and is likely done for the season. Over in the NBA and the Los Angeles Lakers have finally managed to record a win this season, overcoming the Charlotte Hornets 107-92 to snap a five game losing streak. And finally Landon Donovan scored a hattrick as the LA Galaxy thrashed Real Salt Lake 5-0 in the MLS Playoffs. The result sees the Galaxy progress to the Western Conference Finals.
