Dallas Cowboys produced a magnificent performance on Sunday to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-17 in the third game of the NFL International Series from Wembley Stadium, London.
The game was a great one for the Cowboys as they got back to winning ways following back to back defeats. Dallas now really looks set to challenge for the NFC East title, but what was a great day for Dez Bryant, Tony Romo and DeMarco Murray, wasn't a great day for Cole Beasley.
The diminutive wideout wasn't used much in the game as the Cowboys built up a commanding lead over the Jaguars, but when his chance came, all he did was disappoint.
Beasley got his chance in the second half, and just as it looked like Dallas was about to score another touchdown to pour more salt into the wounds of the Jaguars, Beasley coughed up a fumble on his first reception of the game.
Naturally, Dallas fans were frustrated with the fumble as any fan would be if their team had created a turnover. But some fans took their frustrations further and abused Cole Beasley on Twitter post-game.

Quick to respond
Quick to defend himself, Beasley issued this riposte below.
But when a sports player bites on criticism like Beasley did on Sunday, the only natural response from fans is to rib him for the response. At the end of the day, NFL players get paid large sums of money to live out their dreams. Fans expect in turn that they handle criticism. One fan, Matt Massot, responded.
At this point, Beasley clearly wasn't happy with the continued criticism of his play, with the wideout taking things to the extreme with his next response, which is above.
He should be punished
Now this is the point when Beasley clearly crossed the line and it shows to all including his Cowboys teammates and coaches that he is not up to the standard of the NFL.
Such a response while playing for most teams in the NFL would land you with a fine or even a suspension. We will have to wait and see what the Cowboys do from here with Beasley, but criticising fans online like this shouldn't be allowed to go unpunished.
